The Iron Heart western CPO shirt, cut from 16oz Japanese selvedge denim and finished with a corduroy collar. Produced for Iron Heart by the centuries-old Takata Orimono mill in Kojima, this vintage-style denim is woven using pima cotton ringspun yarns, creating an uneven, slubby twill with lots of texture.
Much like their 18oz vintage weave, expect this fabric to develop character-filled “Tate-ochi” vertical fades as the denim evolves with wear. As a CPO cut, this shirt offers a little more length in the body than our standard western cut, with oversized copper snap fastenings and additional hand-warmer pockets for versatility. For this model, we’ve chosen to omit the western-style front yokes and include only a straight rear yoke for a more contemporary look.
